　　雅思寫作中不宜使用的詞匯

　　1. a lot of/lots of

　　這對詞組一般不要出現(xiàn)在academic essay中,考官已經(jīng)看煩了。可以用A considerable number of來代替它們。

　　例如：There are a lot of books in the library.

　　There are a considerable number of books in the library.

　　2. Recently

　　這個(gè)詞不好，按照專家的說法就是too imprecise,沒有一個(gè)具體的時(shí)間。可以用 in the last five years…/since…代替。

　　例如：Recently, many foreigners came to China.

　　In the last five years, many foreigners came to China.

　　3.There is a survey……

　　專家是這么說的: Has there been? only say this if you actually know of one,也就是說考官知道這些都是你編的，最好不要用了。

　　例如：There is a survey on this problem.

　　4.And, because, but

　　這三個(gè)詞我們還是經(jīng)常會用到。其實(shí)最好用in addition, therefore, however等代替。

　　例如：And another three students come from Shanghai.

　　In addition, another three students come from Shanghai.

　　5.No one can deny that…/Undoubtedly

　　這2個(gè)詞組太絕對了，用來開頭并不合適。其實(shí)每個(gè)人都能持與你意見相反的態(tài)度。

　　例如：Undoubtedly, everyone knows it is true.

　　6.In my opinion, I agree/disagree with this

　　這是多余的表達(dá)。When stating your opinion you follow with a fact 相信大家都能看懂，就不翻譯了。

　　例如：In my opinion, we should do this job at once.

　　7.Nowadays

　　理由和2差不多, 這個(gè)詞用在文章里顯得太普通了, 專家的原話是it does not mean very much。

　　例如：Nowadays, more and more students go abroad to seek better education.

　　8.不能用vivid 來形容world，vivid可以用來說memories或者是dream之類的。

　　9.It is a well known fact…最好不要用, 有的考官可能會扣分。

　　10.very不能用來形容delicious, lovely, fantastic, wonderful, amazing, gorgeous and huge。

　　11.雅思文章中千萬不能用縮寫, 例如I’m，在考場上千萬別犯懶，平時(shí)最好也別寫縮寫，多多注意，養(yǎng)成良好的習(xí)慣。
